NBA on NBC (1990)

On November 9th, 1989, the NBA and NBC agreed to a $600 million deal to broadcast NBA games. The first televised game began November 3rd, 1990. The logo features the NBA logo and the NBC peacock against a background of fast-moving horizontal lines and bold blue text. The logo was used for every televised broadcast from November 5th, 1990 to June 19th, 2000.

2000–2002[]

The logo was redesigned in 2000, adopting gold lettering, a revised NBC peacock logo and the NBA logo framed by a red arc. The logo debuted on the televised broadcast in October 31st, 2000 for the 2000-2001 NBA season. The logo was used from October 31st, 2000 to June 4th, 2002 with the conclusion of Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The televising rights for NBC to broadcast NBA games expired after the season, with ABC outbidding NBC and taking over broadcasting rights starting with the 2002-2003 season.

On July 24, 2024, the NBA announced that NBC would return to broadcasting the league starting in the 2025-26 season. The first broadcast of the newly-revived NBA on NBC was televised on October 21, 2025. The new logo incorporates the NBA logoman shaped around the peacock logo on a black backdrop with flat colors, with the NBC and Peacock logo on the bottom.

A new logo was revealed on the profile picture of its social media accounts on May 12, 2025.
