NE News is an Assamese-language news channel that will be run as a partnership between iTV Network, a pan-Indian news broadcaster, and AM Television Pvt. Ltd., an Assamese media company that also runs the entertainment channel Rengoni and the news channel Prag News. It is the first news channel of the iTV Network not to use the India News or NewsX brand.
It was launched on 24 September 2019 to replace NewsX Kannada, which shut down in July 2019.

NE is an acronym for Northeast. This name was also used by NE TV, a now-defunct Assamese news channel (later renamed to Focus NE before shutting down in 2014).
