On September 1, 2015, the Canadian NHL Network ceased operations; a month before the shutdown, the U.S. version of the network saw the NHL had reaching a six-year deal with Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) to take over the management of the NHL's digital properties, as well as NHL Network; as such, the American NHL Network continues operations today while still using this logo.
