1927–1974[]

NMB Bank was founded in 1927 following the merger between Algemeene Nederlandsche Centrale Middenstandsbank, Hanzebank, BOAZ Bank and Middenstandsbank voor Limburg.
1974–1991[]
In 1989, NMB Bank merged with Postbank N.V., forming the NMB Postbank Group. NMB would continue to operate as a subsidiary of the group before getting absorbed into Postbank in 1991.
