The logo had the look of a burgundy N and looked exactly like the 1975 logo for NBC which prompted NET to issue a lawsuit towards them in 1976; the two settled out of court resulting in NBC keeping its logo (they would use it until 1979), and they gave Nebraska ETV over $800,000 worth of new equipment, including a color mobile unit. It also paid Nebraska ETV $55,000 to cover the cost of designing and implementing a new logo, which you can see two entries down.
