Need for Speed 2008 logo

The first video game using this logo is Need for Speed: Undercover, which released in November 2008. Used with or without the "N" emblem. The last game using this logo was the rebooted Need for Speed: Most Wanted in 2012, although the "N" emblem continues to see use within Need for Speed: No Limits, which was first released in 2015, though its appearances in that game has been reduced from 2021 onward. It returned for the 2020 remaster of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010), which used this logo. It made a brief cameo reappearance in Need for Speed Unbound (2022), in the game's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse-inspired start screen.

2014–2020, 2022–present[]

Need for Speed (2014)

Alternate version of the 2008-2013 logo, first used for the 2014 Need for Speed motion picture. First used for a video game on the 2015 reboot Need for Speed. While it was seemingly discontinued in 2021 after Need for Speed: No Limits updated its interface, this logo was restored for the app icon beginning from June 2022 onward.

2019–2020, 2021–present[]

Need for Speed (2019)

Need for Speed Heat used an abbreviated version of the 2014 logo. Although it was seemingly quickly retired after Criterion took over, an October 2021 interface update to Need for Speed: No Limits updated the logo of the six-year-old mobile game to use the abbreviated NFS logo.

2020–2022[]

Need for Speed (2020)

The logo was updated. The font for the word "for" was changed. Despite the logo rebrand for Unbound, the tyre wells in the game still used this logo.

2022–present[]

Need for Speed (2022)

The abbreviated version of the logo was then refreshed with a modified Retrive font for Need for Speed Unbound.
