After the dissolution of the Magnolia Nestlé Corporation, with San Miguel Corporation backing out of the joint venture in 1998, Chocolait began being sold under the Nestlé brand in 2001. By 2002, Nestlé began fully transitioning from the Chocolait branding and was named Nestlé Chocolate Milk Drink.
