New Hampshire Primaries Elephant and Donkey

The team's management announced on November 6, 2003, that the team would be renamed as the New Hampshire Primaries (a reference to the New Hampshire presidential primary held every four years). The name and logo were widely mocked and criticized by New Hampshirites, leading to a petition that resulted in management dropping the name on November 10, later announcing on November 13 that they would hold a "Name the Team" contest. This contest would eventually lead to the team being renamed as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on December 3.
