After the 1975-76 season, the team relocated to Denver to become the Colorado Rockies.

Prior to the 1976-77 season, the club was known as the Kansas City Scouts. After the 1981-82 season, the team relocated to East Rutherford to become the New Jersey Devils. This team is not to be confused with the current MLB team of the same name that was established in 1993.
