1978–1997[]

New York Jets logo (1978–1997)

This logo was designed by Jim Pons, the team's video director at the time and bassist for the Leaves, the Turtles, the Mothers of Invention and the Plastic Ono Band. During this logo's run, the Jets moved from Queens to East Rutherford, New Jersey into Giants Stadium in 1984. Beginning in 1990, the logo would be outlined in black.

1998–2019[]

The Jets reverted to a modified version of their classic logo (using an oval and not a football shape with the original) and their color in 1998 (but stayed in New Jersey, where they remain to this day).

2019–2024[]

The NY became NEW YORK, and the football was changed, in addition to the logo assuming the football shape.
