Nicktoons (also referred to by its former name Nicktoons Network) is an American television network owned by Paramount through the Nickelodeon Networks subsidiary of its Domestic Media Networks division. Launched on May 1, 2002, the channel mainly broadcasts animated series that originated on sister network Nickelodeon, known collectively as Nicktoons. Despite its name, however, it has also aired some of Nick's live-action series since 2008.
