Nikon is a Japanese photography and imaging company that makes professional photography equipment. Similar Japanese imaging companies include Canon, Olympus, Pentax and Yashica.
The basic wordmark has remained unchanged since 1979.

The current version of Nikon’s 1988 wordmark was introduced in 2003, wherein the wordmark sits at the bottom of a yellow square with wing-like slits in it. At the same time, a corporate slogan (At the heart of the image) was introduced, which has been complemented by “I am Nikon” since 2010.[1]
