QTQ-9 Brisbane began transmission on 16 August 1959. This logo was used in an article promoting the station's launch. The callsign stood for Queensland Television Queensland.

In 1983, QTQ introduced their new Gold Coast channel with UHF-58 broadcoasting from Mt. Tambourine. This was followed in 1989 with UHF-45 Currumbin.
