Nintendo Treehouse was founded as a division of Nintendo of America (itself a subsidiary of the Nintendo corporation based in Japan) to translate games from Japan overseas to the Americas.
In 2014, Nintendo Treehouse started livestreaming during E3 Nintendo events and other times of the year. They would continue to do this every year since on the Nintendo YouTube channel.
