Nokia is a Finnish telecommunications company and equipment manufacturer that was the world’s largest manufacturer of mobile phones until the late 2000s.
In 2014, Nokia’s mobile phone business was acquired by Microsoft and renamed to Microsoft Mobile. In 2016, HMD Global, another Finnish company, acquired the worldwide rights to use the Nokia brand on smartphones.

Although Nokia introduced a new company logo in February 2023, this logo continues to be used on Nokia's licensed products, such as mobile phones being manufactured by HMD and smart TVs sold in Europe by StreamView.
In 2024, most of its license holders started to retire the Nokia brand, with StreamView deciding to use the Thomson brand, and HMD introducing its own branding on its smartphones and feature phones.
