North London was the name given to a British railway franchise which served north London.
North London Railways
Prior to the franchise being awarded to a private operator, the company continued to be operated by British Rail.
In February 1997, the franchise was awarded to National Express.
Initially retaining the pre-privatisation name North London Railways, National Express rebranded the company Silverlink in September 1997.
