On 5 September 2015, Nova Sport change it's name to Nova Sport 1, due to the launch of Nova Sport 2. Since February 2016, Nova Sport 1 and 2 (both SD and HD) have been the only Nova channels allowed to broadcast in Slovakia, alongside Nova International.

On 29 February 2024, all 4 Nova Sport channels, except Nova Sport 2, change it's number colors to make way for the newly-launched Nova Sport 5 and 6.
