Onatel was the oldest telecommunications company in Burkina Faso. Since 2006, it was majority-owned by Maroc Telecom, a subsidiary of Etisalat. Its domestic competitors are Orange and Telecel Faso. In 2021 it was replaced by Moov Africa.
