One (formerly Telekom Albania and Albanian Mobile Communications (AMC)) is one of the two telecommunications companies in Albania in southeastern Europe, the other one being Vodafone. Originally founded as AMC (Albanian Mobile Communications), it was sold to Greek OTE in 2000 and again in 2019 to Vivacom of Bulgaria.

One was founded as Albanian Mobile Communications (AMC) on November 22, 1995.
In August 2000, OTE purchased 85% of AMC. Its stake would continue to grow over the years.
2005–2015[]
Telekom Albania[]
2015–2020[]
OTE sold its 99.7% stake in Telekom Albania to a Bulgarian company, Albania Telecom Invest, in January 2019 (whose parent company also owns Vivacom, a Bulgarian mobile network operator). However, the Telekom brand would remain. Later in 2019, Vivacom was acquired by United Group, which also acquired the Tele2 brand in Croatia in 2019.

In July 2020, Telekom Albania changed its name of registration to “One Communication”, starting the transition to a new brand (ONE).[1]

2023–present[]
With the merger of One and ALBTelecom, the company received a rebrand previously used by One Montenegro.[2]
