Onitsuka Tiger (Japanese: オニツカタイガー) is a Japanese fashion brand started in 1949 by Onitsuka Co., Ltd., a footwear company founded by Kihachiro Onitsuka. Onitsuka Co., Ltd. would later merge with two other companies (GTE, a sportswear company, and Jelenk, a knitwear company) to form Asics Corporation in 1977, and Onitsuka Tiger has since relaunched in 2002 as a lifestyle brand of Asics.
