Ooredoo, known as Qtel until 2013, is a Qatari multinational telecommunications company with a presence across the Middle East, North Africa and South and Southeast Asia. In Arabic, Ooredoo means ‘I want’.

Until the establishment of Vodafone in 2009, Qtel held a monopoly in Qatar.
