Orange Sport 3 was launched as Dolce Sport 3 on September 13, 2011. It was initially broadcasting over Dolce Info during UEFA Champions League evenings.

On June 1, 2012, the Dolce Sport channels had undergone a major rebranding, with Dolce Sport 3 included. On November 6, 2012, Dolce Sport 3 increased its broadcast interval, with it later becoming 24/7 in 2014.
An HD simulcast was launched in 2016.
Telekom Sport 3[]

On September 12, 2017, Dolce Sport 3 became Telekom Sport 3.
On July 21, 2021, Orange Romania bought the Telekom Sport channels from Telekom Romania.[1]

On March 28, 2022, the Telekom Sport line of channels were rebranded to Orange Sport, with Telekom Sport 3 becoming Orange Sport 3.
On March 29, 2024, it was announced that Orange Sport's channels will cease broadcasting on June 30th of that year.[2] The date was later moved to July 1.
