Panamericana de Teleeducación was an educational channel created by Panamericana Televisión in agreement with the Universidad de Lima. It was launched in 1965, when the channel passed to channel 5 and operated until 1973, during the military dictatorship of Velasco.

The logo used by this station was the logo of Panamericana Televisión, but under the logo, the word "DE TELEEDUCACIÓN" appears in black and below, the words "CANAL 13".

On the morning of 3 October 1974, Panamericana de Teleeducación's transmission antenna fell to the ground due to a strong earthquake. The antenna was not repaired, primarily due to economic difficulties both on Panamericana Televisión (which was under the Telecentro alliance) and on the Universidad de Lima, so the channel signed off forever.

The VHF channel 13 frequency would be left off-air, though Panamericana remained as owner of the frequencies until 1986, when it was passed to Empresa Radiodifusora 1160 S.A. (a property of Andina de Radiodifusión), which had intentions to move its channel Stereo 33 to the VHF channel, which they finally did in 1989. Today, the channel is named Global Televisión.
