Without an announcement, Papa John's updated its iconic logo on one of its new Specialty Pizzas television advertisements. The typeface changed to a font named "Italian Plate" and the pizza ribbon became slightly bigger. This is used on TV and online ads, on buildings and on its website, with it being used in the US, and in the UK.
This logo was used on pizza boxes until early 2022, and on freshness seal stickers until mid-2023.

On November 16, 2021, Papa John's announced they will go for a major rebrand in which the possessive apostrophe and the "Pizza" ribbon are removed from its logo that now reads as simply Papa Johns. Other changes include that the green outline is also removed and the typeface's font was changed. seen at new redesigned restaurant chains.
