PepsiCo is an American multinational food, snack, and beverage corporation headquartered in Harrison, New York. PepsiCo was formed in 1965 with the merger of the Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito-Lay, Inc.
At the time of the company's acquisition of Quaker in August 2001, PepsiCo changed its logo. The new logo was created by Landor Associates. It keeps the globe motif but makes it less schematic and more lively. It also loses its connection to the Pepsi identity. Instead, five latitudes in different colors represent the company's divisions: Frito-Lay, Pepsi, Tropicana, Quaker and Gatorade.
