Pershyi, which is also known as Pershyi kanal Suspilnoho movlennia and Suspilne Pershyi, unofficialy, is the primary television channel of Suspilne movlennia, Ukraine's public broadcaster. The channel was previously owned by the National-state Broadcasting company of Ukraine until 2017. It was originally called UT-1 from 1991 to 1998, and later renamed Pershyi natsionalnyi from 1998 to 2015. In April 2015, the channel was rebranded to UA:Pershyi during the unveiling of Public broadcasting in Ukraine. Despite this, UT-1 is still a well-known name among Ukrainians.
On 7 April 2015, the channel went through another rebranding. The logo has changed to a newly created public broadcaster after signing the bill On amendments to some laws of Ukraine on Public Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine into law by Petro Poroshenko. The logo reads as You are Pershyi (You are first). This similar fashion used on other UA: branded TV channels. At this time UA:Pershyi got two alternative names: Pershyi Suspilnyi (Перший Суспільний) and simply Suspilnyi (Суспільний). The font used is a modified version of Vida.
Until 2022, this logo was still used on the official website.

Despite the statements of the then general producer of Suspilne Yaroslav Lodyhin about the end of branding as Channel One, the board of Suspilne still promotes rebranding UA:Pershyi as Channel One, despite its associations with party television before relaunching to Public broadcaster and its failed history.
