A pre-alpha version of the game was released on July 16, 2019.
August 2019 (pre-alpha); 2020 (soft-launch)[]
In August 2019 the logo changed. Plants vs. Zombies 3 was soft-launched on February 25, 2020. The soft-launch was later discontinued on November 18, 2020 to make bigger changes.
2021–2022 (soft-launch)[]
The game was relaunched in Australia and Philippines on September 7, 2021 as a soft-launch. It was discontinued on October 29, 2022.
2024–present (soft-launch)[]
The game was relaunched in select territories on January 17, 2024 as a soft-launch. The logo is very similar to the 2019 logo.
