Play5, known from 2012 to 2021 as VIJF (meaning five in Dutch) and before then as VIJFtv, is a female-oriented commercial TV channel owned by Belgian Dutch broadcaster SBS Belgium, itself a subsidiary of Telenet (Liberty Global). Its competitors are the VTM-branded channels of DPG Media, and the public broadcaster VRT.
VIJFtv rebranded in 2012 to VIJF, the same year as sister channel VIER.
This pink version of the logo was used for only 8 days (11–18 February 2013).
The logo was placed inside a pink square on 18 February 2013.
On 30 August 2018, VIJF changed its logo to a numeral, similar to its sister channel VIER, which had rebranded in 2017.
On 28 January 2021, VIER, VIJF and ZES were renamed to Play4, Play5 and Play6, respectively, in advance of the new women’s channel Play7 launching in April 2021. The rebrand consolidates all television channels owned by Telenet (the owner of SBS Belgium), which also owned Play Sports and Play More premium channels.
