The "PlayStation" portion of the word-mark was capitalized in 2008.
2012–2017
In 2012, the logo was redesigned with the corporate PlayStation emblem and word-mark that had previously been introduced in 2009.
2017–present
In 2017, the bag icon became two-dimensional and the button symbols were replaced with the PlayStation emblem.
On March 29, 2021, Sony confirmed that they will be shutting down the PlayStation Store for PS3, PlayStation Vita and PSP, with the closure dates - July 2 for PS3 and PSP and August 27 for Vita - being announced at a later date.[1] However, due to massive criticism, Jim Ryan, the CEO of Sony, confirmed on April 19, 2021 that they have responded to criticism and announced that the PS3 and Vita PlayStation Stores will continue operating, with the PSP store still shutting down on July 2.[2]
