Pleasure island

Pleasure Island was first announced on July 21, 1986 to compete with the Church Street Station Night club complex. Construction began the following August and Pleasure Island was opened on May 1, 1989, the same day as the Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. Despite the logo change that occurred in 2006, this logo would remain in many portions of the area until its closure.

This logo was introduced in March 2006 as part of massive changes that occurred to the area such as removing the entry fee. On September 28, 2008 Pleasure Island was closed to make way for the planned Hyperion Wharf development, which was reworked into The Landing at Disney Springs.
