On January 25, 2017, the Pokémon Communications Company was merged into The Pokémon Company . Following the merger, The Pokémon Company launched websites in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company has since used the "Pokémon Asia " moniker for work in those countries.
