Pretty Cure (Precure for short) is a Japanese meta-magical girl anime and multimedia franchise created by Izumi Tōdō, and produced by Toei Animation, which began in 2004 with the premiere of Futari wa Pretty Cure and since then, all franchise entries aired on ABC TV (which also serves as a co-producer, alongside ADK Emotions), TV Asahi and other ANN affiliates.
Note: Individual Pretty Cure series typically premiere in the first Sunday of February of their given year. Before this, new shows and their logos are unveiled in the last week of November.
