ProSieben had its origins back in 1986 when it was launched as Eureka TV. The channel started test transmissions on November 15, 1986, but it did not began official broadcasting until May 1, 1987.

On January 1, 1989, Eureka TV was relaunched as Pro7 and adopted its first logo which consists of a half-rectangle that is coloured red and contains a cutted-out window to it, as well as three thimb lines appears to make up the "7" numeral appear on-screen, with the three letters "P", "R", and "O" are appearing inside the rectangle.

However during specific theme days, this logo was reused as an on-screen logo for only a very short limited time of four days around 2016:

• First, it was reused for the first time on June 2, 2016.
• Then, it was reused for the second time on June 9, 2016.
• Later, it was reused for the third time on October 6, 2016
• Finally, it was reused for the last time on October 24, 2016.

ProSieben

1994–1997

On October 24, 1994, Pro7 was rebranded as ProSieben and introduced a new look by adopting a new logo. With this new look, the new logo had the name "Pro Sieben" written underneath it in a style similar to the example above. Nowadays, the symbol alone works as the full logo.

1997–2001

In 1997, ProSieben changed its logo again, and the "ProSieben" were renewed thus it made the black rectangle was eliminated from the wordmark, so the word "Pro" could be able to be beside with the word "Sieben".

2001–2004

In 2001, ProSieben gave a rebirth to its 1994 which was put inside a "Cosmo Black" square to symbolize a new look that was introduced for the channel. Also, the "ProSieben" wordmark was removed from the logo, thus it will now remain only the symbol.

2004–2007

In 2004, ProSieben received a minor update for its 2004 logo and the square changed its colour from "Cosmo Black" to "Dusk Dark-Blue".

2007–2009

In 2007, ProSieben redesigned its 2004 logo by having the "Dusk Dark-Blue" square becoming circled and the symbol tuned down its pure-red colour.

2009–2011

In 2009, ProSieben renewed its 2007 logo with another minor update as the circled square became gradient and changed its color from "Dusk Dark-Blue" to "Cosmo Black" and gets placed in the center for the middle of a silver squircle, thus the symbol grows much bitter bigger than the previous logo and made the channel become relaunched with more new looks and new graphics.

By January 31, 2010, ProSieben, alongside Sat.1 and kabel eins launched their HD simulcasts.

2011–2015

In 2011, ProSieben began its Christmas campaign by introducing a new logo that shows the "Cosmo Black" circled square changing its color to "Sunset Pure-Red" and the symbol should change its color to "Plain White" so it could be able to reflect its visible graphics.

HD logo (2011-2015)

2015–present

In 2015, ProSieben's current logo came into effect, and the "Sunset Pure-Red" circled square removed all the circle parts by turning it into a cube, as well as the symbol shrinks a little bit smaller to become a lot more different than the old logo. This time, the logo would now appear in form of fire crystals when it is visible during idents and bumpers.
