Proximus is the largest telecommunications company in Belgium. Until 2014 it operated as a subsidiary of Belgacom, after which it introduced its own brand. Its competitors are Orange (formerly Mobistar) and Telenet (including its mobile network operator Base).

After Proximus took over Belgacom’s services, it introduced a new logo and corporate identity in October 2014, incorporating Proximus’ purple and Belgacom’s teal. A custom typeface was also introduced.
