In May 1967, it was reported that Sandgren & Murtha had signed on with the Royal Crown Cola Co. as consultants for visual communications. Shortly afterward, extensive market testing culminated in the design of this monogram wordmark, arguably the most recognized logo in the brand’s history.

A redrawn version of RC's 1969 logo was revived in summer 2018, alongside their 1975-1984 "Me and my RC" slogan, but disappeared toward the end of the season. In 2019 the logo was again reintroduced, and has since been instated as the main logo.
