RTL Liga was supposedly part of the proposed Club RTL digital TV bouquet slated for imminent launch in 1996, but was cancelled due to UFA and CLT abandoning their project.

This channel would have aired live football matches, including the English Premier League along with football news, talk shows and commentaries.
