RTL II, originally launched in 1993 as RTL2 and often referred to as such, is a German free-to-air television channel that targets a youth demographic, compared to flagship channel RTL. Unlike the other German RTL channels, RTL II is not entirely owned by RTL Group, but is a joint venture with Bauer Media Group, The Walt Disney Company and Tele München Gruppe.

RTL II was originally the second-most popular channel of the RTL network in Germany (which is today called Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland), but it has since lost that title to VOX, which, along with the flagship RTL, competes for viewership with ProSiebenSat.1 Media’s flagship channels ProSieben and Sat.1.

RTL II places its logo in the bottom right corner of the screen (like RTL’s news channel n-tv), unlike the other German RTL channels, which use the top left corner.
