On February 27, 2022, RT France was banned by the European Union throughout all their member states due to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission banned RT France from broadcasting in Canada on March 16, 2022 for the same reasons. On January 21, 2023, the network ceased all remaining operations following the freezing of their bank accounts by the Direction générale du Trésor.
