1989-1999[]
Classica was a radio station focused in broadcast jazz, blues and related music-genres, launched in July 16, 1989. It was a joint-venture between bussinessman Carlos Alberto Peñafiel, Ricardo Bezanilla Renovales (also owner of Infinita, Romántica and FM Tiempo) and television host César Antonio Santis, this last one served as the executive director as well.
In 1999, the station was bought by CRC and it was merged with Caracol Radio, forming a new station called Caracol Clásica, a hybrid between the two radios, launched on January 1, 2000. This formula lasted one year, dropping it in April 2001, ending the last remain of Classica.
