Radio M Plus started broadcasting on May 6, 2005, at the time only being received in Târgu Neamț. It was affiliated with Romantic FM, before switching to Prima TV in 2007.

In 2020, Radio M Plus lost its Piatra Neamț license (though they would later open studios there on February 21st, 2024). Eventually, on June 30, 2022, it obtained authorization to broadcast in Pașcani.
