Realitatea TV was a Romanian 24-hour news channel, owned by Realitatea Media SA. It was launched on November 7, 2001. However, on April 1, 2019, its parent company went bankrupt and the license for Realitatea TV couldn't be extended anymore. Because of this, on October 30, 2019, Realitatea TV ceased broadcasting, and the frequencies for this channel were replaced by Realitatea Plus.

The logo was still used on journalists' microphones until 2007.

On September 16, 2007, Realitatea TV had rebranded, introducing a new logo and schedule.
Realitatea Media SA, the company who owned Realitatea TV, went bankrupt on April 1, 2019. Thus, the license of Realitatea TV expired at the end of October 30, 2019, and due to the bankruptcy of the latter, the license couldn't be extended.
On October 30, 2019, Realitatea TV ceased broadcasting, and the frequencies were replaced by Realitatea Plus. However, Realitatea TV has continued as a internet-only channel.
On December 12, 2019, the online version of Realitatea TV was also replaced with Realitatea Plus.
