In 2002, RedeShop was purchased by Mastercard and, in 2004, the RedeShop and Maestro debit card networks in Brazil were merged into the MasterCard Maestro brand.
Currently, all Mastercard debit cards (operating on the Maestro, and, more recently, Mastercard, networks) issued by Brazilian banks carry the Mastercard Débito brand.
