Rede Amazônica is the TV Globo affiliate compound for the states of Amazonas, Amapá, Rondônia, Roraima and Acre. The network started in 1972 with the Manaus station and started its other stations in 1974. Around this time the stations became affiliates of Rede Bandeirantes, between 1983 and 1986, the stations switched to Rede Globo, starting with the stations in other states and outside of Manaus in Amazonas, ending on June 30, 1986 with an affiliation agreement with TV Amazonas, replacing TV Ajuricaba as its affiliate in Manaus, enabling the whole network to become a Globo affiliate.
