2019–2024[]
In January 2019, with the release of Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi spun off the Redmi line into a separate sub-brand to compete against Oppo's already spun off brand called Realme, and as a result of Xiaomi-branded series became a mainstream brand. It is also adopted the Redmi brand in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau but its native name (红米) was still kept as a secondary branding. The Redmi branding is later adopted to other products such as laptops, smart TVs and some accessories such as the Redmi Power Bank (formerly branded as Mi Power Bank C series).
2024-present[]
In November 2024, Xiaomi introduced its new logo for the Redmi sub-brand, as a result of the major adjustment to the Redmi line after Xiaomi's main lineup of smartphones now became successful in the higher-end smartphone market. This will be introduced with the Redmi K80 series in Mainland China.
