Redux was a brand of dexfenfluramine sold by Wyeth from 1996 to 1997. The United States Food and Drug Administration withdrew its approval of the drug and it was discontinued on September 15, 1997, following multiple concerns about the cardiovascular side-effects of the drug. The drug was later superseded by drugs like Meridia, but this drug was likewise removed from the market in 2010 due to it causing an increased risk of cardiovascular complications.
