The Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance is a Franco-Japanese strategic partnership between the French automaker Renault and the Japanese automotive manufacturers Nissan Motor Corporation and Mitsubishi Motors. It was founded in 1999 as the Renault–Nissan Alliance, and adopted its current name in September 2017, a year after Nissan acquired a controlling stake in Mitsubishi Motors and made it an equal partner in the Alliance.
