Rising Pune Supergiant (originally Rising Pune Supergiants) was a franchise in the Indian Premier League, the top Indian franchise league for Twenty20 cricket. It was owned by the RPSG Group and was based in Pune, Maharashtra, being the city’s second IPL franchise after Pune Warriors India.
Along with Gujarat Lions, RPS was a stand-in franchise for Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, which were suspended for the 2016 and 2017 seasons due to spot-fixing allegations. Both franchises were disbanded after the 2017 season as CSK and RR returned to the league.
In 2022, the RPSG Group launched a new IPL franchise entitled Lucknow Super Giants.
