Roadrunner Records[]
1980–1998[]
Roadrunner Records was originally established in 1980 in the Netherlands. This logo was created soon after the company was founded.
1998–2016[]
Roadrunner redesigned their logo in 1998 for a more modern and cleaner design.
2016–present[]
In 2016, Roadrunner remade their logo again to give it a sleeker look.
Roadracer Records[]
1984–1990[]
In 1984, due to a legal battle between Roadrunner and Warner Brothers in the US, Roadrunner released their albums as Roadracer Records as an imprint in North America and later on in parts of Europe.
1990–1992 (primary); 1992–present (secondary)[]
In 1990, the logo for Roadracer Records was changed to be more distinct from the original Roadrunner Records logo. The imprint was discontinued in 1992 after the court case was settled, but does reappear occasionally in some reissued albums.
RC Records[]
1988–1990[]
Because Roadracer was also used in Europe, RC Records was another imprint established in 1988 to distinguish albums from the North American and European releases. The logo is often paired with the Roadracer logo with text reading that RC Records is an associated label of Roadracer.
1990–1992[]
Like Roadracer, the logo for RC Records was redesigned to differentiate from Roadrunner and Roadracer. It was later used in Europe for many of Roadrunner's death metal albums. This imprint was also discontinued in 1992 after the court case was settled.
