România TV is a 24-hour Romanian news channel and the most watched news channel in the country by viewership. It was originally launched on October 23, 2011 as RTV and became România TV on December 1, 2011.

România TV was launched as RTV on October 23, 2011 by the former Realitatea TV staff after the channel moved its headquarters from the Casa Presei Libere to the Willbrook Platinum building on the Bucharest-Ploiești Road.

2011–2013, 2013–2018 (secondary)[]
On December 1, 2011, RTV changed its name to România TV. Until 2018, this logo was still used on reporters' microphones.
2013–present[]
On August 24, 2013, România TV changed its logo, after the CNA regulatory agency warned the channel to not use the logo variants that alternated on the screen, due to the RTV brand belonging to Realitatea Media.
On March 25, 2023, România TV finally switched to 16:9 resolution and launched an HD feed after nearly 12 years.
