Rozhlas a televízia Slovenska (RTVS) is the state-owned public broadcaster of Slovakia. RTVS was created in 2011 following the merger of the public television broadcaster STV and the public radio broadcaster SRo, & operates three TV channels and several radio stations.
Several other European countries continue to have separate public broadcasters for TV and radio, such as Slovakia’s neighbours the Czech Republic (ČT and ČR) and Poland (TVP and PR).
